Love Lake Forest Community Volunteering Day

During the Love Lake Forest Community Volunteering Day, organized in collaboration with the City of Lake Forest, the Embrace Relief Southern California (SoCal) team proudly participated in a day dedicated to service, compassion, and community engagement.

In addition to volunteering across multiple initiatives, members of the Embrace Relief team also contributed to the event’s media coverage by documenting the day through photography and videography, helping capture and share the impact of this meaningful community effort.

Throughout the event, the Embrace Relief SoCal team successfully led three major service projects, each designed to support vulnerable individuals and families within the community.

1. Concourse Park Planting and Beautification Project

As part of the Concourse Park Planting and Beautification Project, our volunteers worked together to plant over 2,000 flowers and plants, contributing to the enhancement and revitalization of a shared public space. This project reflected our commitment not only to humanitarian service but also to environmental stewardship and community pride.

2. New Mom Care Package Assembly Drive

In recognition of Mother’s Day, the Embrace Relief SoCal team led a special donation initiative: the New Mom Care Package Assembly Drive. Through this project, volunteers carefully assembled essential care packages containing basic baby and maternal care items intended to support mothers and newborns facing difficult circumstances.

These care packages will be donated to Casa Teresa, a nonprofit organization based in Orange County, California, dedicated to supporting pregnant women and new mothers experiencing crisis situations. Casa Teresa provides housing, guidance, and vital resources to help vulnerable women build stable and hopeful futures for themselves and their children. We are honored to contribute to their mission by helping provide comfort and practical support to mothers in need.

3. Women’s Hygiene Kit Assembly Project

As part of America’s 250th Anniversary service initiatives, the Embrace Relief SoCal team also led the Women’s Hygiene Kit Assembly Project, during which volunteers prepared and packaged hygiene kits for women experiencing financial hardship.

These essential kits will be donated to Families Forward, a nonprofit organization in Orange County focused on preventing family homelessness and empowering families to regain stability and self-sufficiency. By providing basic personal care necessities, this project aims to restore dignity, comfort, and support to women and families navigating challenging life circumstances.

Through these projects, the Embrace Relief SoCal team was proud to demonstrate the power of collective service and community partnership. Participating in Love Lake Forest Day was a meaningful opportunity to give back, strengthen local connections, and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
